Knoxville is starting Saturday with clouds that will clear in the mid to late morning and temperatures in the mid-40s, setting up a sunny afternoon near 60 degrees. Saturday brings a brief stretch of crisp, dry weather before the forecast turns wetter and colder later next week.
The National Weather Service forecast called for Friday fog to dissipate by 9 a.m., with northerly winds Saturday. The setup is a sharper, cooler follow-up to Hoodline’s Friday forecast, which also pointed toward a sunny but chilly weekend.
Sunny Stretch Holds Through Veterans Day
Saturday night will turn partly cloudy with a low near 36, while Sunday brings another sunny afternoon and a high near 62. Monday and Tuesday look even milder, reaching about 66 and 67 degrees, respectively, with mostly clear or mostly sunny skies and little wind.
Veterans Day should stay mostly sunny with a high near 66, according to the National Weather Service in Morristown. Overnight lows will remain chilly, generally in the upper 30s to mid-40s, so early risers may still want a jacket even as afternoons warm up.
Rain Chances Return Thursday
Rain chances increase Wednesday, with a 40% chance of rain that day and rain possible Wednesday night and Thursday. Thursday’s high should reach about 73.
Colder Pattern May Follow
A possible deep trough late next week could bring much colder temperatures to the region.
No watches, warnings or advisories are active for the Knoxville area. For now, the best outdoor window is the sunny stretch from Saturday through Veterans Day, with rain chances returning Wednesday and much colder temperatures possible late next week.
