Little Rock woke Wednesday to clear skies and temperatures around 54 degrees, a much calmer scene after Tuesday’s rain and storms moved east. The city is headed for a sunny afternoon near 72, with a west-northwest breeze and no rain in the forecast. By Wednesday night, temperatures slide to around 47.
Sunny Stretch Starts With A Warm Thursday
Thursday looks even warmer, with sunshine and a high near 74 before another cool-down after dark. The National Weather Service says dry weather should hold through the forecast period, with no watches, warnings or advisories currently posted.
Friday remains sunny with a high near 69, then a dry cold front will knock daytime temperatures down to around 62 Saturday. Overnight lows are expected around 43 Friday night and 39 Saturday night, so the weekend may call for a jacket at sunrise even if afternoons remain comfortable.
Chilly Mornings Could Bring Frost Concerns
The broader pattern turns cooler Sunday morning through Tuesday morning, when forecast lows in Little Rock hover near 39 to 41 before afternoon highs rebound into the mid-60s and low 70s. The weather service says parts of Arkansas could eventually need frost advisories during that stretch, although none are in effect now.
For outdoor plans, Wednesday and Thursday offer the best combination of warmth, sunshine and light winds. Saturday through Tuesday stays dry as well, but the bigger temperature swing means gardeners and anyone with cold-sensitive plants should keep an eye on later updates.
