Midtown safety context
Midtown Alliance’s year-end 2025 report, based on its analysis of Atlanta Police Department data for the Midtown Improvement District, said overall crime in the district fell 10% compared with 2024. That districtwide figure does not describe the Nova II assault, according to Midtown Alliance.
A separate Midtown workplace altercation reported by 11Alive occurred around 1:30 a.m. on June 29 outside X Atlanta on Piedmont Avenue and involved a bar employee and an off-duty Atlanta police officer. It was a different incident at a different venue.
