Denver wakes up to clear skies and cool temperatures Thursday, but the chill will not stick around for long. A sunny afternoon near 59 degrees kicks off a warm, mostly dry stretch that carries through Veterans Day.
Sunny Thursday Gives Way To A Cloudier Friday
The National Weather Service Denver/Boulder office forecasts sunshine Thursday, with light winds and no rain expected. Temperatures will dip to around 37 degrees Thursday night, while skies turn mostly cloudy before Friday morning.
Friday should still reach about 59 degrees across Denver, although high clouds and a few more clouds will move in. The plains are expected to stay mostly dry, while light snow is possible Friday afternoon and evening in the higher mountains north of I-70, generally totaling 2 inches or less with isolated spots nearing 3 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
Weekend Warmup Looks Like The Main Event
Saturday brings sunny skies and a high near 62 degrees, followed by a sunnier and warmer Sunday near 66. Monday could be the warmest day of the run at about 67 degrees, with Tuesday still mostly sunny and near 65.
Veterans Day looks pleasant as well, with sunshine and a high around 64 degrees. No active watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the Denver forecast area, making the next several days a solid bet for outdoor plans, patio weather and a welcome break from the season's early chill.
