The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has issued an Endangered Missing Advisory on behalf of the Noble Police Department for 39-year-old Alisa Lesley. She was last seen in Noble on Thursday wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots.
According to News 9, Lesley is described as having blonde hair and brown eyes. She also has a skull and crossbones tattoo on her upper back and a kanji symbol for strength on her upper-right torso, identifying marks that could help searchers or the public spot her.
Note Left Behind, Phone Left at Home
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety says Lesley left a note at her residence and went on foot without her phone. DPS also reports that she has a history of depression and self-harm.
The advisory includes those circumstances alongside Lesley’s clothing and identifying features to help people recognize her.
How Oklahoma's alert and reporting process works
According to News 9, local law enforcement contacts the Oklahoma Highway Patrol when it believes an alert is necessary. The report says an Endangered Missing Persons Alert is used when someone is believed to be missing and endangered, and law enforcement must verify that the person is in danger before issuing one.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says its Missing Persons Clearinghouse provides resources to law enforcement agencies and families seeking to locate missing people. OSBI advises filing a missing-person report with local law enforcement, which can make an entry in the National Crime Information Center database.
How to Report a Sighting
Anyone with information about Lesley's whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or tribal authorities by calling 911. Officials have not released additional information beyond the description and circumstances outlined in the advisory.
