A nurse-led ear-piercing studio is staking out space in the former Aveda suite at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco, with the brand's own website still marking the location and its hours as coming soon. Rowan, which bills itself as a destination for safe ear piercings performed exclusively by licensed nurses, is planning to move into Suite 2228 at the Preston Road mall, filling a spot that sat empty after the beauty retailer closed out.
Timing Reports Don't Quite Line Up
Exactly when the doors will open remains a bit murky. According to WhatNow, the opening date is unclear, and Rowan's website lists it as coming soon. An earlier report from Community Impact, published in July, said the studio was set to open later in 2026. Rowan's own page for the location still lists both the opening and weekly hours as coming soon, per heyrowan.com.
What is clear is the address: 2601 Preston Road, Suite 2228, inside Stonebriar Centre, per the same WhatNow report. Community Impact's earlier coverage noted the suite previously belonged to Aveda, which closed in late June, leaving the space open for Rowan's build-out.
What Rowan Actually Offers
Once it opens, the Frisco studio will offer lobe and cartilage piercings in what the company's page describes as a safe, sanitized space, serving customers across age groups. Rowan's needle piercings are available for children ages 5 and older, while device piercing is offered from 2 months of age provided a child has a valid DTaP vaccination, according to the studio's own published service terms on heyrowan.com. The jewelry used, per that same page, includes titanium, 14k solid gold, and sterling silver, all described as hypoallergenic.
Every piercing is handled by a licensed nurse rather than a traditional piercer, a model Rowan also uses at its existing Preston Royal Village studio in Dallas, which faces Preston Road. That studio's page likewise states that all piercings there are performed by licensed nurses.
Part of a Fast-Growing Texas Footprint
The Frisco location would mark Rowan's 10th in Texas, according to Community Impact, and the company says it operates more than 100 piercing studios nationwide. Texas regulations also set limits around minors and piercing more broadly: the Texas Department of State Health Services states that an artist may not perform body piercing on someone younger than 18 without consent from a parent, managing conservator, or guardian, consistent with state administrative code requirements.
For now, Frisco families eyeing a visit will need to keep an eye on Rowan's own updates, since neither the opening date nor the studio's hours have been finalized on the company's website. Until then, the Stonebriar Centre suite sits as another sign of the brand's steady expansion across North Texas.
