Richmond woke Sunday, November 1, to calm air and temperatures around 46 degrees, but the afternoon will feel much more like early fall than November. Partly sunny skies should help push the high near 69, with no rain expected across the city.
Warm, Dry Weather Holds Through Wednesday
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a mostly cloudy night Sunday, with temperatures dipping to about 43 degrees. Monday stays mostly sunny and mild near 68, followed by a sunny Tuesday near 75 and a mostly sunny Wednesday that could reach 77 degrees.
Winds will remain light through the stretch, generally around 3 to 5 mph, so outdoor plans should get a comfortable run of weather. Mornings will be jacket-friendly, but afternoons will have residents checking the calendar to confirm it really is November.
Showers Return Thursday And Friday
The first meaningful rain chance arrives Thursday, when showers could develop after 7 a.m. and precipitation chances rise to about 50 percent. Friday looks wetter, with rain showers likely and a 60 percent chance of precipitation during the day and again Friday night.
Saturday should improve, with only a slight chance of early showers before 7 a.m., followed by partly sunny skies and a high near 70. No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the Richmond area in the current forecast.
The updated outlook is a notable shift from Hoodline's earlier Richmond forecast, which had allowed for rain around the start of November. For now, the week favors warm, dry plans early, with umbrellas becoming more useful by Thursday.
