Richmond’s Tuesday starts around 48 degrees with clear skies and calm winds, but areas of fog are expected through the morning commute. Once the fog lifts, mostly sunny skies should push temperatures to about 74 degrees, giving the city another distinctly mild November afternoon.
Foggy Start, Warm Afternoon
The fog should thin out by about 8 or 9 a.m., though drivers may encounter reduced visibility before then. South winds will stay light at 0 to 6 mph, while Tuesday night turns partly cloudy with a low near 51.
The updated outlook is a sharper turn from Hoodline’s Monday forecast, with a clearer signal for fog Tuesday morning and a wetter late week. Wednesday remains mostly sunny and warmer, with a high near 77 before clouds build Wednesday night.
Rain Holds Off Until Late Thursday
Thursday will stay warm, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 77; daytime rain chances have declined substantially, though a stray shower cannot be ruled out. The forecast turns more unsettled Thursday night, when rain chances increase.
Friday is currently the wettest part of the forecast, with showers likely, an 80% chance of rain and a high near 73. A few thunderstorms are possible, and the National Weather Service in Wakefield says locally heavy rainfall is possible, although the exact placement and amounts remain uncertain.
Weekend Skies Improve
Saturday could begin with a slight chance of showers before turning mostly sunny near 72 degrees. Sunday looks mostly sunny and cooler near 68, followed by a chance of showers Monday with a high around 63.
No watches, warnings or advisories are currently listed for the Richmond area. For now, the best window for outdoor plans runs from Tuesday through Wednesday, with umbrellas becoming more useful by Thursday night.
