Richmond is starting Monday, November 2, with a crisp morning near 48 degrees, high clouds over much of Virginia and VFR conditions at Richmond International Airport, but clouds are expected to thicken as the city warms toward 67. Winds are calm to very light early, then should settle into a light easterly breeze, keeping the day quiet but more gray than sunny.
Clouds Hold, But Rain Stays Away
The National Weather Service says Monday will be mostly cloudy, with only a very low chance of light rain in the Piedmont and a high near 67. No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the Richmond area.
Tuesday And Wednesday Bring The Warmest Stretch
The mild spell strengthens Tuesday, when mostly sunny skies should push the high near 75. Wednesday looks even warmer, with mostly sunny conditions and a high near 78, while winds remain light at generally less than 10 mph. Overnight lows rise from around 45 Monday night to about 50 Tuesday night.
Showers Return Late Week
Rain chances return Thursday after 7 a.m., with mostly cloudy skies, a high near 76 and a 50% chance of showers. Scattered showers could continue Thursday night and Friday, when temperatures remain mild near 74 despite another 50% rain chance. The outlook favors occasional showers rather than a steady washout.
Weekend Weather Rebounds
Saturday may start with a slight chance of showers before 7 a.m., then turn mostly sunny with a high near 70. Sunday looks mostly sunny and cooler near 68, giving outdoor plans another dry window after the late-week rain.
The latest outlook is a modest update from Hoodline’s earlier Richmond forecast: Monday now looks cloudier, while Wednesday’s projected high has edged up to 78. For now, the best stretch for dry outdoor plans runs from Tuesday through Wednesday, with an umbrella worth keeping nearby by Thursday.
