SAHARA Las Vegas is turning its casino floor into rodeo central for the National Finals Rodeo, with a 10-day slate of watch parties, themed dining and live music running Dec. 3 through Dec. 12. The lineup includes a $95-per-person bourbon dinner, a $55 Western brunch and NFR broadcasts shown live across four different venues inside the resort.
According to FOX5 Vegas, SAHARA Las Vegas will hold Rodeo Week events from Dec. 3 through Dec. 12, including live NFR viewing, specialty dining and entertainment. The resort's own event page likewise lists the celebration running Thursday, Dec. 3 through Saturday, Dec. 12, describing it as a mix of live NFR viewing, special dining and live entertainment, per SAHARA Las Vegas's Vegas Rodeo Season page.
Fans looking to catch the rodeo without leaving the casino floor have options. The NFR will be shown live at CASBAR Lounge, The Tangier, Chickie's & Pete's and The Pool, the station reports.
Bourbon Dinner and Western Brunch Headline Balla's Rodeo Menu
Balla Italian Soul is set to host a 1932 OG Bourbon Dinner on Friday, Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m., celebrating 1932 OG Prohibition Rye. The dinner costs $95 per person, requires guests to be 21 or older, and reservations are required, the report notes.
The following morning, Balla turns its brunch service Western for On the Ranch Brunch on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's billed as a Western version of Balla's Ciao Bella Endless Italian Brunch, presented with Vegas Girl Events, and runs $55 per person. Bottomless spritz and mimosa packages are available for an additional charge, and while reservations aren't mandatory for brunch, the station notes they are strongly suggested. Reservations for both Balla events can be made through the reservation link included in the station's report.
CASBAR Lounge Brings Dueling Pianos and Live Acts
CASBAR Lounge will host live music and entertainment throughout Rodeo Week, with a rotating cast that includes Jonny Hazard, Downtown Avenue and Johnny & Treasure. A dueling-piano act is also on the bill, though the two sources describing Rodeo Week don't fully agree on the details: the station lists Scot Ellis & Friends performing from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Dec. 4-5 and Dec. 11-12, while SAHARA's own event page lists the act as Scott Ellis & Friends running 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Other Strip Properties Are Also Leaning Into NFR Week
SAHARA isn't the only resort capitalizing on rodeo season. The Rio Hotel & Casino planned a free nightly celebration called Rio Round-Up, also running Dec. 3 through Dec. 12 and starting at 4 p.m. each day, according to a separate FOX5 Vegas report. That event was described as featuring NFR watch parties, live country music, Western-themed games, sponsor giveaways and interactive entertainment, with fans able to gather at the Rio Event Stage inside Masquerade Village to watch the live NFR telecast each evening.
The Rio's entertainment rotation reportedly includes DJ Du performing Dec. 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9, and Rodeo Rockstar Redstreak Revival taking over Dec. 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12. The property also planned free daily round-trip NFR shuttle service, with pre-event departures running from 4 to 6 p.m. and return trips from 8:15 to 9:45 p.m., according to the same report.
Back at SAHARA, more information on the full Rodeo Week schedule, including dining reservations and showtimes, is available on the resort's Vegas Rodeo Season webpage.
