San Antonio police are searching for two women they say beat a victim with blunt-force objects while dressed in Halloween costumes, during a fight that broke out just after midnight outside a bar on North Alamo Street. The attack happened early on November 1, and investigators are now appealing to the public for help identifying the pair.
According to KENS 5, San Antonio police are looking for two women wanted in connection with the downtown assault, which unfolded outside McFly's Bar & Barbecue. Police said the confrontation turned violent when the two suspects, still in their Halloween getups, struck the victim with blunt-force objects, per the SAPD account relayed by the station.
Investigators said the altercation did not go unnoticed by bystanders. Multiple witnesses recorded the fight on their cell phones, according to investigators cited in the same report, meaning footage of the incident may already exist on several phones around the city even as police continue piecing together what happened.
What Remains Unknown
Key details about the aftermath of the attack have not been made public. Police did not say what condition the victim was in or whether the victim was taken to a hospital, the outlet's report notes, leaving the extent of any injuries unclear for now.
SAPD is asking anyone with information or video of the assault to call its homicide unit at 210-207-7635. The request suggests investigators are hoping some of those witness recordings described above could help identify the two women before they move forward.
A Stretch of Alamo Street With a History
This is not the first time violence has erupted along North Alamo Street's nightlife corridor. In February 2025, two men were taken into custody after allegations they fired gunshots during a massive brawl outside Bar House at 820 N. Alamo St., according to the San Antonio Current. Police had responded to that earlier incident shortly after 2 a.m., and one of the men arrested, Joseph Reynaldo Olivarri, was ultimately charged with unlawful carry of a weapon with a felony conviction, discharging a weapon in a municipality with more than 100,000 residents, and theft of a firearm.
No arrests have been announced in the Halloween night case as of now, and the identities of the two women remain unconfirmed. SAPD's homicide unit is continuing to review any tips or footage that comes in as the investigation moves forward.
