The Nov. 3 Union County election tally is marked unofficial on the county’s results page. In its report on the Scotch Plains-Fanwood school board election, TAPinto said county totals for the Fanwood candidates had not been provided by publication time.
TAPinto reported that Gina Walsh, Tom Rozycki and Scott Pierce were running for the Fanwood seat left open after Amy Boroff chose not to seek another term. The outlet did not report a vote total for the Fanwood contest.
For the two Scotch Plains seats, TAPinto reported Christina St. Hillaire received 4,250 votes (29.30%) and Eric Fellen 3,935 (27.13%). Incumbent Sonali Phatak Barve had 3,221 (22.20%), and Jennifer Martinez received 2,962 (20.42%). The outlet reported 14,506 votes in the contest, including 138 write-ins. If the unofficial tally holds, St. Hillaire and Fellen would take the two Scotch Plains seats.
