A new restaurant called Smashed Burgers & Cocktails is preparing to open at 14601 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 110, taking over a space that until recently served smashburgers under a different name. A soft opening is expected in late November, with a bigger celebration to follow just days later.
According to WhatNow Phoenix, SoCal Flavor LLC is identified as Smashed’s owner in Arizona liquor records. Bill Momary, CEO of SoCal Flavor, said the team is planning a grand-opening event for Tuesday, December 1. Details about any menu changes for Smashed have not been confirmed, per the same report.
A Familiar Address Gets a New Name
The Scottsdale Road suite isn’t new to the smashburger business. SoCal Flavor LLC previously operated LaCo Smashburgers & Tacos at the same address, and that restaurant opened near Scottsdale Road and Acoma Drive in October 2025, the outlet’s report notes. LaCo’s Instagram page has been promoting the upcoming Smashed concept and describing the restaurant as under construction.
LaCo’s online menu remains live and offers a window into what the former concept served, even though it’s not confirmed as a blueprint for Smashed. The LaCo Smashburgers & Tacos menu lists a double-patty burger with American cheese, burger sauce and pickles, served with fries. It also features loaded fries topped with shaved ribeye steak, white American cheese and chimichurri, alongside wagyu smashburgers, tacos, cheesesteaks and chicken sandwiches, plus a churro bites with ice cream dessert.
SoCal Flavor’s Other Scottsdale Spot
Beyond the smashburger space, SoCal Flavor also owns La Cocina – Authentic Mexican Kitchen at 32527 N. Scottsdale Road, which serves Mexican cuisine including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and combination plates. The company’s footprint in the area gives it an established presence to lean on as it reworks the Suite 110 location into Smashed Burgers & Cocktails.
For now, the key details for hungry locals are the timeline: a soft opening expected in late November, followed by Momary’s planned grand-opening event on December 1. Whether the new concept keeps any of LaCo’s smashburger staples or charts its own course remains to be seen.
