Tecate Corona Mexican Kitchen & Sports Bar is planning locations at 390 Court Street in North Plymouth and 304 Lincoln Avenue, Unit 3 in Saugus. The expansion follows the Groveland-based restaurant and sports bar’s opening in August 2025; permit details for the Plymouth site outline its proposed size, seating and hours.
According to What Now Boston, the business has announced its expansion to the two new sites. The restaurant is owned by Kevin Lopez de Leon, who uses the business to celebrate his family heritage and recipes passed down through generations. The concept honors Leon's mother, Magdalena de Leon, with the menu reflecting her traditions and recipes.
Plans for the Two Locations
Permit filings for the Plymouth restaurant describe a space of approximately 2,350 square feet with 70 indoor seats. Plans reported for the space include red and yellow walls, Frida Kahlo artwork and an expansive bar.
North Plymouth's Planning Context
The Town of Plymouth identifies North Plymouth as one of the town’s village center areas, alongside Plymouth Center, West Plymouth, Manomet and Cedarville. The designation provides broader planning context for the Court Street location, rather than a site-specific description of the restaurant parcel.
The Saugus location is planned to have colorful Mexican murals and a bar. Both new restaurants are expected to serve Mexican dishes including burritos, fajitas, tacos, enchiladas and seafood, along with a full bar offering house-made margaritas, Mexican beers and signature cocktails.
Planned Hours and Hiring Push
Permits filed for the Plymouth location outline planned hours of Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., with Sunday hours beginning at 10 a.m. No official grand opening date has been announced for either restaurant, though the Tecate Corona team has said it plans to share details soon.
Tecate Corona is hiring line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, servers and bartenders ahead of the openings.
