Three people were injured, one of them seriously, in an incident in El Paso's Lower Valley on Friday. Two of the three were taken to the hospital, and one of those two suffered serious injuries, while the third person declined medical transport at the scene.
The El Paso Fire Department confirmed the three injuries, according to KFOX14/CBS4. Of the two people taken to the hospital, one suffered serious injuries while the other sustained only minor injuries, the station reported. The third injured person refused to be taken for medical care.
Crews with KFOX14/CBS4 observed a gray car and a red car that appeared to be involved in the incident near Alameda Avenue and Little Flower Road. The station has not reported a cause for the crash, and the outlet described its coverage as a developing story.
Alameda Avenue's History of Serious Wrecks
This is not the first time the Lower Valley stretch of Alameda has produced a multi-injury scene. In May 2025, a multi-vehicle crash at 7271 Alameda Ave. left seven people injured, with police confirming that three vehicles were involved, per the same account. One of those seven injured people also refused transport to the hospital at the time, echoing Friday's outcome on a smaller scale.
Earlier this year, a separate crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on Alameda left at least one person with serious injuries. That crash was reported at 2:21 p.m. at 8803 Alameda, according to CBS4 Local, and the El Paso Fire Department said one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
No further details on the cause of Friday's crash or the condition of those injured had been released as of this report.
