The crash happened at the intersection of N. Tantau Avenue and Pruneridge Avenue, just steps from Apple’s Cupertino campus, according to a traffic alert posted by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office
. The sheriff’s office said two adults and a child were taken to area hospitals and that Tantau Avenue was closed in both directions as crews worked the scene. Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the roadway remained shut down.
Santa Clara County Fire officials told ABC7 News that when crews arrived, they found two cars that had collided, with one of them on fire. Fire officials said bystanders had already located a child, estimated to be about two to three years old, who was unconscious, and they started CPR before paramedics took over.

Avoid the Area, Officials Say
