A jury is weighing evidence against two men accused of turning a Towson home invasion into a killing spree that ended with a body found in Druid Hill Park. Anthony Jackson and Daiquon Ferguson face murder, kidnapping, burglary charges connected to a pair of fatal shootings that unfolded within hours of each other.
According to the Baltimore Sun, a jury is weighing evidence in the case, which stems from a violent episode reported to have taken place on Dec. 9, 2024. Charging documents cited by Fox Baltimore describe how Ferguson and Jackson broke into a home on Beaverbank Circle in Towson, setting off a chain of events that would end miles away in a city park.
A Home Invasion That Turned Deadly
Fox Baltimore's reporting on the charging documents says the break-in on Beaverbank Circle was just the beginning. Later that same morning, a body — identified in the outlet's report as Rodgers — was discovered with multiple bullet wounds in Druid Hill Park, according to the station's account of the case.
Investigators reportedly linked the two scenes through ballistics. Per the same charging-document account relayed by the station, detectives confirmed that the same firearm was used in both the Towson home invasion and the fatal shooting in Druid Hill Park, tying the two locations to a single violent timeline.
The Charges Jurors Must Weigh
Police charged Ferguson and Jackson with two counts of first-degree murder, along with kidnapping, burglary and home invasion, the station's report states. The case now before the jury involves murder, kidnapping, burglary and home-invasion charges.
Baltimore County Police have previously said homicide detectives arrested Jackson and Ferguson in connection with the homicide of 19-year-old Andrew Blessing, according to a statement posted by Baltimore County Government. The department's own published materials list conflicting dates for that arrest announcement, with one page dated June 6, 2025, and another dated May 30, 2025, so it remains unclear exactly when the arrests were made public.
What Remains Unresolved
The trial unfolding now does not have a public outcome yet. Court proceedings are ongoing, and jurors have not yet returned a verdict in the case, leaving the ultimate fate of both defendants undecided as deliberations continue.
Towson and the surrounding area saw another burst of gun violence just over a week after the Dec. 9 shootings, when a rolling shooting outside a Towson funeral home on Dec. 17, 2024, left one person dead and nine injured, Fox Baltimore reported. Fox Baltimore reported that Police Chief Robert McCullough discussed a possible connection between the crimes and said there appeared to be at least some rival individuals.
