Investigators are looking for a Chrysler 300 believed to be connected to the hit-and-run, according to the station's report. No suspect description, arrest, or further details about the vehicle search were reported.
What Michigan law requires after a crash
Michigan law generally requires a driver who knows or has reason to believe they were involved in an accident on public or private property open to public travel to stop and remain at the scene until statutory requirements are fulfilled, subject to a limited exception, according to the Michigan Legislature. That general rule does not establish who was responsible in this Warren incident.
A Chrysler 300 was involved in a separate Warren case last year. A driver fled a traffic stop and later crashed into two vehicles near 9 Mile and Van Dyke before running away on foot, according to The Detroit News. A 71-year-old woman in one of the struck vehicles was taken to a hospital, where medical staff pronounced her dead, the newspaper reported. That case is unrelated to the White Castle hit-and-run.
No further details about the White Castle victim's condition, the suspect's identity, or the search for the Chrysler 300 have been reported.
