Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny in Washington, with the District reaching a high near 59. A brisk northwest wind will make the day feel sharper than the thermometer suggests.
Following Friday’s frontal passage, the city gets a dry weekend reset with virtually no rain expected Saturday. Northwest winds will bring gusts of 30 to 35 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday Brings More Sun And Less Wind
Saturday night should turn mostly clear, with a low around 45 and northwest winds diminishing to 15 mph or less. Sunday looks more comfortable for outdoor plans, with full sunshine, a high near 63 and lighter west winds between 7 and 12 mph.
Monday stays sunny and reaches about 63 degrees, although northwesterly winds could gust to around 23 to 29 mph. Tuesday is the warmest day in the near-term forecast, with mostly sunny skies and a high in the low 70s before Veterans Day settles near 66 degrees under more sunshine.
Colder, Unsettled Pattern Possible By Friday
The forecast stays dry next week before a colder, more unsettled pattern develops by Friday.
The outlook keeps the weekend and early next week generally dry, as did Hoodline’s earlier forecast, which focused on rain Thursday night and Friday. No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the District, leaving Saturday’s gusty wind as the main weather factor for commuters, cyclists and anyone spending time in exposed areas.
