WWE is bringing Friday Night SmackDown back to Memphis, with the live broadcast set for FedExForum on January 8, 2027. Stars advertised for the show include Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Chelsea Green, Trick Williams and Jade Cargill.
According to Action News 5, WWE is making its live return to Memphis in early 2027, with Sami Zayn advertised as the WWE Undisputed Champion, Chelsea Green as WWE Women's World Champion, and Trick Williams as US Champion. Those titles reflect how the lineup is being promoted ahead of the show, though the outlet notes the performers are advertised for the card.
When and Where to Buy Tickets
Tickets for the Memphis date are scheduled to go on sale Wednesday, November 11, at 10 a.m. local time, according to WWE. An exclusive presale for individual event tickets is set to begin a day earlier, on Tuesday, November 10, per the same announcement. The station reports that tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster and the FedExForum box office starting Wednesday morning.
WWE says tickets and event information can be found at WWE.com/Events. The January 8 date is part of a broader slate the company revealed: 11 new event dates across North America to kick off 2027, including nine new editions of Raw and SmackDown, with Memphis among the cities listed in that announcement.
How It Compares to WWE's Last Memphis Stop
This won't be WWE's first trip to FedExForum in recent years. SmackDown was previously broadcast live from the arena on March 15, 2024, with tickets for that show starting at $20, the station reported at the time. That 2024 event's poster advertised appearances from Kevin Owens, Charlotte Flair, Bobby Lashley, Jimmy Uso, LA Knight, Rey Mysterio, Bianca Belair and Austin Theory.
The 2027 lineup announced so far leans on a different set of top names, with Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Randy Orton headlining the advertised card alongside the three advertised titleholders. Fans hoping to catch the show in person will want to act quickly once the presale and general sale windows open this month.
