Guatemalan National Sentenced to Over a Year in Federal Prison for Assaulting ICE Officers in Lake Worth Beach
A Guatemalan national living in Lake Worth Beach has been sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison after pleading guilty to assaulting two ICE officers during a vehicle stop in August 2025, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. Authorities said the suspect resisted arrest, attempted to flee, and struck the officers before being restrained with assistance from a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy. The case was investigated by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations and prosecuted in federal court.
