Gulfport Police Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run and Find Suspect Vehicle Near Liquor Store
A woman riding her bike was struck and killed in a hit-and-run Saturday night in Gulfport near Tangerine Avenue and 49th Street South. Police say the suspect fled the scene, leading to a mile-long investigation area. A damaged vehicle was later found near a liquor store, and 22-year-old Xavier Omar Rigby was arrested around 4 a.m. on multiple charges, including DUI manslaughter. The victim’s identity has not been released.
