We've been getting a lot of questions about what all those trucks were doing on Haight between Fillmore and Webster yesterday. The answer: T-Mobile was filming a commercial at Rooky Ricardo's Records.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
We've also heard that this afternoon, Rooky's owner Dick Vivian is going to receive a Small Business Award from Ross Mirkarimi at the Board of Supervisors meeting. This being San Francisco Small Business Week (you knew that, right?), each Supervisor has chosen one small business from their district to receive said award, and apparently Mirkarimi chose Rooky's. Then tomorrow, Rooky's is expecting a visit from CBS's Eye on the Bay film crew for an upcoming segment. Three big events in three days -- not bad for a 25+-year-old record shop!
