Ooh la la! Make room for a side of culture with your next croissant, folks. Cafe du Soleil has applied for permission to host live music and poetry readings. There's just one catch -- the city wants your input first.

According to a notice from the S.F. Planning Commission:
[Cafe du Soleil's] proposal will involve adding acoustical musical entertainment (i.e. jazz) and poetry reading to the existing restaurant between the hours of 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
If you live near the Cafe, you're invited to share your opinions at a public hearing next Thursday, May 13th. We've posted the full notice here. Well? What say ye? Does this sound like a recipe for a noisy neighborhood, or music to your ears? Let us know in the comments.
