Swing by Duboce between 11am and 4pm today for Play Day in the Park, a family-friendly event packed with music, food, prizes, and special guest speakers. No really, it's packed.

Looking at the schedule, we count at least a half dozen bands, plus belly dancers, tai chi and yoga demos, capoeira, chinese folk dancers, hula hoops, field games like a 3-legged race and that game we never won where you have to race while carrying an egg on a spoon, and more. PLUS speakers including Supervisors Ross Mirkarimi and Bevan Dufty, and State Senator Mark Leno. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! They've got some seriously awesome raffle prizes too, from local merchants like Memphis Minnie's, Merch, Edo Salon, Wak Shack, Lower Haters, P-Kok, 3 Twins, Idle Hand, and Gallery 683. Plus you could win a catered dinner for eight, or a weekend in Tahoe! Proceeds from the event go to create new arts and recreation programs at the Harvey Milk Center, which is great. So come enjoy the calm before tomorrow's Bay to Breakers storm with a little fun with the neighbors, all for a good cause. Yes? Yes.
