Turns out music supply shop Robotspeak won't be closing after all -- just changing focus.
According to a message posted on their website, the shop's owners have decided not to leave their location at 589 1/2 Haight, having successfully renegotiated their rent. Instead, they'll take the next couple of weeks to refocus the shop on music education and consultations, but will keep a reduced inventory of products for sale. The storefront will see its hours shrink too, opening its doors on Fridays and Saturdays only. This is certainly great news for all the musicians in the neighborhood (and city, for that matter).
