
A fast-moving fire broke out near 16th & Valencia in the Mission late Saturday afternoon. A plume of dark smoke could be seen from Duboce Park (above).

Update 6:42pm: Emergency_in_SF is reporting that it's now a 3-alarm fire, with 100+ firefighters fighting the blaze. Also, they report that at least 2 of the firefighters at the scene have been injured and are seeking treatment.
Update 11:14pm: Mission Local reports that the fire was brought under control by 8pm after engulfing four buildings and displacing at least 20 residents. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Update 8/15/2010: SF Appeal reports this morning that the fire was actually contained to just one house, though a neighboring home was evacuated due to being considered "in peril." The Appeal adds that the fire was controlled around 6:50pm.
