New details have emerged regarding the stabbing victim who was discovered yesterday inside his apartment on Hermann Street.

  • According to SFWeekly, the Medical Examiner's office has identified the victim as 36-year-old Philip Dimartino.
  • SFWeekly says that Dimartino was a senior marketer at Archstone, and links to his LinkedIn profile. Looks like he was a 1998 UVA graduate as well.
  • SFGate pins the address where the victim was found as 138 Hermann, and says Dimartino was found by a co-worker who saw his body through a window.
  • Though an officer classified the death as a homicide to us yesterday, apparently that formal declaration has not been made yet. There have also been no arrests, and no determination of a motive at this time.
We'll keep you updated with any more details. Again though, if you have any information about the crime, please call the SFPD tip line at (415) 575-4444.
