We hear Ike's Place might be looking for a new home. We think Ike's would make a great addition to the Lower Haight! If you like Ike like we do, LIKE this page and spread the word!In case you've somehow managed to avoid the Ike's-related news bonanza the past few months, here's the situation.
- Ike's Place, currently located on 16th Street at Sanchez, is very popular.
- This popularity causes lines.
- These lines upset a few neighbors, and in May, Ike's was served with an eviction notice.
- Ike's was supposed to close August 24th, but at the last minute Ike's attorney discovered a pretty awesome error -- the landlord had sued Ike and his mother (the people) instead of Ike's Place (the entity), and thus the eviction was stayed.
- In short, Ike's is still in business -- at least for now.
