At 12:39am last night, an underground equipment issue at Hayes and Gough plunged nearly 6,700 PG&E customers into blackness, including parts of the Castro, Hayes Valley, and a large section of the Lower Haight.
ABC7 reports that by 5am, power had been restored to all but 430 customers. A PG&E spokesman could not estimate when their power would be restored. Anybody out there still without power? Let us know. (If you can.)
