Busy day today, what with the blackout, the Art Walk, and of course the pranking! But don't worry -- there's always room for leftovers.
Here are the news items that didn't quite make the front page this week. And we promise, they are all 100% legit!
- Apparently actor Danny Glover was spotted at Memphis Minnie's on Monday.
- The Lower Haight mural is getting a refresh. We'll post photos when it's done (and coated in protective paint, hopefully).
- Palmyra officially applied for a beer and wine license on Monday.
- The Upper Haight Farmer's Market will be returning for its 2011 season on this coming Wednesday, April 6th, from 4pm to 8pm. Catch it every Wednesday at Waller and Stanyan.
- As yesterday marked the official phase-out of Muni's adult paper passes in favor of reloadable Clipper cards, Muni Diaries posted a photo retrospective of pass designs through the years. Pretty cool stuff.
- Reader Kevin M. of Uptown Almanac tips us to this old-timey postcard from ~100 years ago, featuring a view of Duboce Ave westward from Market Street:
Muni and hospital aside, looks like not a whole lot has changed. Thanks Kevin!

- 7x7's 2011 Dog Poll ended yesterday, and they've just announced the winner, who will be featured as the Grand Marshal of April 16th's Dogfest in Duboce Park. Click the link to view the top dog (spoiler alert: he's cute).
- SFist brings news of a giant bouncing castle that will be set up in the Panhandle today around 5:45pm, in case you need to get a little pre-Art Walk energy out of our system.
- And finally, as we just mentioned, tonight's the Lower Haight Art Walk. The fun kicks off at 6pm. We'll be wandering around snapping photos, so if you see us, be sure to say hello!
