If a second recession is upon us, you wouldn't know it by this week's leftovers. We've got construction projects, a new business, job listings, and three weekend events on tap. Let's get started.

The Chase bank on Divisadero is on the verge of opening, and it shows. This week it got a new paint job and some illuminated Chase signage.
The branch has an estimated opening date of November 8th.
A whole boatload of scaffolding went up around 493 Haight Street this week, site of the September 27th fire which rendered the building unlivable.
No word yet on plans for the property's restoration.
Reader Devon C. sent in this photo of a new-fangled Muni stop being installed on the northwest corner of the Haight/Fillmore intersection, in front of Greenburger's:

Know how to make a good cup of coffee? Cafe Du Soleil is looking to hire a new barista.
Tonight, Lower Haters hosts the opening of its latest show, The Beast Parlor, featuring new works by Pixibird and Emma SanCartier. As Lower Haters describes the work of these two female artists, "their figures are dark and delightful and never fail to bring a smile to any who see them." Swing by 597 Haight Street from 7pm to 10pm for tonight's reception; the show runs through November 9th.
Saturday night, Swankety Swank hosts Quintessential, a night "celebrating San Francisco spirit and style." There will be tarot card readings, music, art, and a burlesque performance by Vaudie Va-Boom, plus plenty of furniture and fashion for sale. This goes down from 7pm to 11pm at 289 Divisadero St.
Finally, on Sunday afternoon, Hayes Valley Farm hosts a Harvest Festival. Expect live music, fresh food, "treats from the outdoor oven", and a puppet show. There will also be plenty of farm-fresh items for sale including local honey, fruit trees and pumpkins. The event runs from 1-5pm.
That's it for this week. Anything we missed? tips [at] haighteration {{dot}} com.
