BALLET: Friday, March 23 The San Francisco Ballet is performing Program 6 tonight, featuring Raymonda Act III, RAkU, and Guide to Strange Places (World Premiere). With Russian, Japanese and Scottish themes, these three pieces will connect with a wide range of viewers. Tickets can be purchased online from their website. [301 Van Ness] MOVIES: Saturday, March 24 If you don't want to make the trek up Van Ness to the AMC or downtown to the Metreon, head to the Opera Plaza Cinema to catch a film. With only four screens, this small cinema is part of Landmark Theaters, a group of theaters that showcase either independent films or those that lie in that movie purgatory between on-screen and DVD. Scan the listings to see what's playing this weekend. And if Meryl Streep's recent Oscar for Best Actress inspires you to see The Iron Lady, let us know if you think she did a good job. [601 Van Ness] SYMPHONY: Sunday, March 25 The San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra is performing at the Davies Symphony Hall at 2pm. This concert has been performed for 30 years and will feature over 100 Bay Area young musicians. Tickets cost $12-45 and can be purchased online. [201 Van Ness]
