Create a Great Weekend: The April Fools Editionst. stupid's day (april 1, 2009)/strangebillions
April Fools' Day is this Sunday and we're saving our favorite joke for when you look in the mirror. (Just kidding!) Lots of fun (and several free) things going on this weekend in Hayes Valley or close by. Here's what we think you should check out...

Friday | Community Music & Bike Ride What happens when you mix a dance party in Dolores Park, biking through several neighborhoods, and multiple DJs at Rickshaw Stop? We're not sure, but you're about to find out. Meet at Dolores Park tonight at 8pm with your bike and best Running Man and follow the group as they make their way to Hayes Valley for SF Stone Soup. The cover is $10-12 and all ages are welcome. [155 Fell] Saturday | Wax On, Wax Off Chris Chase, founder of Otter Wax, is doing a demo on how to wax your shoes, jeans and outerwear at Welcome Stranger. Otter Wax was founded in Portland, and according to their website, is made from "simple, all-natural ingredients that are non-toxic, silicone-free, or derived from petroleum." Give the Karate Kid a run for his money by learning how to use wax like a pro. [460 Gough] Sunday | Free Day at Asian Art Museum Unlike our earlier attempt at humor, this event isn't a joke. The Asian Art Museum, one of the largest museums in the western hemisphere dedicated to Asian art, opens its doors to everyone for free on the first Sunday of the month (thanks, Target). Special exhibits might have a $5 surcharge, but the majority of the space is open to all. [200 Larkin]
And that's your April Fools weekend update from the Haighteration team. Just kidding, the Hayeswire team. Just kidding. There is no "I" in team but there is a "me." Just kidding, just kidding, just kidding.
