Someone is giving Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd a run for their money.
In the past week, we've noticed two utility vans parked on Page Street between Franklin & Gough that have little resemblance to the PG&E trucks we're accustomed to seeing. And we doubt either one is being driven by the Dr. Egon Spengler.
The first van we saw (above) was parked in front of 55 Page early last week. We waited around to see if anyone with a proton pack was going to jump out and run inside the building, but it never happened. The following afternoon, another van was hanging out in front of the Kanbar Center, directly opposite 55 Page. While its message did calm our fears, we were sad that we couldn't locate this driver either. Has anyone seen either of these vans before? Is it possible they're two sides of the same van? And what does the owner do when he/she is not driving this Ectomobile? Help us solve this mystery of Stay Puft proportions.
