We're used to seeing the occasional pair of sneakers dangling from power lines here in the Lower Haight. But this, this is a new one.
Yesterday, while walking on Scott Street between Haight and Waller, we spotted this oddity: more than 20 shoes, all of which looked like Vans to us, dangling from the branches of a not-small tree.
Who put them up there, and why? And when and how, for that matter? Yet another neighborhood mystery. Can anyone out there help us solve it?
