Do you love dining at restaurants in Hayes Valley because you think we have great food? It appears you're not alone.
On Monday, Restaurant Critic Michael Bauer released his Top 100 Restaurants in the Bay Area and Hayes Valley was represented by four restaurants, two of which opened in the past year.
Compiled for the 17th year, the list of Top 100 Restaurants ranges in geographical location from Healdsburg and Calistoga to Daly City and Palo Alto. And out of the entire list, 65 can be found here in San Francisco. Congrats to the four Hayes Valley restaurants that made the 2012 list: Zuni Cafe (Mediterranean/California) Nojo (Japanese) Lers Ros (Thai) Absinthe Brasserie & Bar (French) On the opposite end, two restaurants from Hayes Valley that were on last year's list but were cut from it this year are Bar Jules and Jardiniere. Would you include those 4 restaurants in your own "Best of the Bay?" Would you even consider them the best in Hayes Valley? If not, what do you think should have been on that list?
