Frjtz Closing Hayes Valley Location
After being a part of the neighborhood for 12 years, Frjtz is closing its Hayes Valley location at 581 Hayes. Announced yesterday by its owner, Santiago Rodriguez, this restaurant will shut its doors by the end of the month and all efforts will be focused on their Valencia St location.

According to Inside Scoop SF, the space has been sold to Brian Cassanego and will be turned into a jazz era restaurant/bar called Noir that will offer food, beer and wine.
We stopped by and spoke with a staff member who confirmed they are closing at the end of the month, but he wasn't sure if all Hayes Valley employees will be moved to the new location or the exact date of their last day. He said he's loved working Hayes Valley and getting to know the local businesses and patrons and will miss being in the area. You only have a few more weeks to enjoy Belgian mussels and fries with over 22 dipping sauces (white truffle artichoke ketchup, anyone?) so get down there while you can.
