It's Friday the 13th! You know what that means...
Freaky-deaky leftovers.
Let's do it.
Tonight, we've got two fun and familiar options for you in the neighborhood. First, it's the return of Push the Feeling, a monthly party at Underground SF. The night will feature a live set from Shock and DJ sets from Hotthobo, as well as resident DJs epicsauce and YR SKULL. That's 9pm to 2am, and admission is free.
Also tonight, Berlin-style ping pong returns to D-Structure. Only this time, the folks at Do415 are buying a round of beer for folks who RSVP. So, click it.
Tomorrow, from 11am to 4pm, it's DogFest in Duboce Park. Just a reminder.
And tomorrow night, Underground SF hosts "Pop Brownie: A Night of 90s Joints". $5 at the door gets you into a world of hip hop, R&B, and dance music from the Clinton era. And it's free before 10:30pm, so get there early.
If you're willing to venture slightly south of the neighborhood, the folks at Blackbird want you to know about something new on their menu: wine. They've got 10 wines by the glass, plus a wine flight program every 2nd Tuesday of the month. For $15, you get a flight of 3 2-oz. pours paired with one of their signature cocktails. Not too shabby.
Hey Lower Haight merchants: does your storefront need a new awning? For the month of May, San Francisco is waiving fees for awning replacements and pedestrian-level lighting. More info here.
Finally, a reader let us know about a scary situation this week:

Finally, a reader let us know about a scary situation this week:
"Last night my fiance and I were victims of a "hot prowl" and robbery at our place on Pierce and Page. We're on the second floor in a two unit building. The perpetrator apparently climbed up the front of the building and used the portico over the door to gain entry through our living room window. Even scarier he combed through the entire house before entering our bedroom waking us. A scuffle ensued where he hit and knocked down my fiance and threatened him saying he would 'kill him' and 'shoot him'. He finally left through our front door. In the end only a laptop and laptop bag was stolen while a number of other items including a guitar, CDs and two other laptops as well as an iPod were dropped along with the perpetrators flashlight. The night inspector who showed up mentioned that there had been a few similar incidents in recent weeks in both the Central and Park station areas. I figure this might be a good time to remind all our neighbors to lock their windows and be extra vigilient."Good advice.
