With Tupac imagery all the rage following his hologram's recent Coachella performance, this weekend's show at Fifty24SF couldn't be more timely.

Opening Friday night, "West Coast Hip-Hop: A History in Pictures" features photographer Michael Miller's portraits of Tupac Shakur, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eazy-E, Cypress Hill, Warren G, and more, plus photos of the L.A. street culture that inspired the genre. For tomorrow night's opening, which runs from 7 to 10pm, the gallery will feature San Francisco DJs Tommy Guerrero and ORB. Then on Saturday afternoon, from 2pm to 4pm, Miller will be on hand to sign copies of his book, which shares the same title as the exhibit. For more info, check out the Citrus Report's write-up. Then, set aside some time this weekend to head down to 218 Fillmore. The show is only up for two days, so don't miss it.
