A Giant Vandal Leaves Their Mark

A Giant Vandal Leaves Their Mark
It's not unusual to see graffiti in Hayes Valley. What is unusual is seeing graffiti that stretches almost three stories high.

We were walking through the neighborhood last night, checking out the construction at the corner of Gough & Grove, when we noticed the magenta writing in the background. After figuring out how to get into the fenced off parking lot (the entrance is on Hayes, FYI), we darted toward the center and captured the photo from above. This tagging is almost three stories tall. Or in San Francisco terms, five Priuses high. As we started to head out of the parking lot, we turned around and saw this:
Did a giant leprechaun do all of this? This is the first time we've noticed it, but it's quite possible this vandalism has been here for a bit. If so, does anyone know how long? The "shamrock" looks like someone could have thrown paint on the walls, but the words are entirely too high and continuous for that to be the case. Which makes us wonder: does anyone know how an individual (or group) created a tagging this high without anyone noticing?
UPDATE (9:40am): We learned from one of our writers that the tagging was done by a fire extinguisher and was the same culprit who vandalized Marine Layer's new walls as well.
