Have you walked by Patricia's Green today? Did you notice anything new? Like a giant metal sculpture, by chance?
The newest art installation in Patricia's Green is being set up this week and here's what you need to know.
Future's Past by Kate Raudenbush is being constructed and should be ready to be officially debuted this Thursday, May 10. The coordination of the rotating artwork in this area is brought to us by the Hayes Valley Arts Coalition. It's scheduled to stay with us for a full year, coming down in May 2013. The sculpture is described as a "12-foot pyramid (that) reflects the architectural temples of the renowned collapsed civilization of the Maya." What do you think of our new mean, green metal machine?
