Paul K, a Hayes Valley restaurant that's been open for 12 years, closed its doors on April 29.
Opened in 2000 by Paul Kavouksorian (get it... Paul K... see what they did there?), this Mediterranean restaurant was popular for many years, but crowds weren't coming as strong in the past few.
Taking its place will be a new restaurant called Rich Table, a creation of the chef couple Sarah and Evan Rich. According to Grub Street, they want the dining experience to be "low-key and inviting with a heavy focus on the food."
Rich Table looks to open later this year. Get those appetites ready.
