Let's talk about our Weekend Photo Contest and how we want you to participate.
Borrowing the idea from other sites, we want to introduce our first photo contest. The idea is you take photos based on a theme and email/post them and we'll share our favorites on Hayeswire next week. The theme for this weekend is "How I Get Around: Transportation in Hayes Valley." (We've got Muni on the mind after a week full of transit-related news) We want pictures of you or your friends or your modes of transportation here in the neighborhood. Whether you ride a seafoam green Moped, own a '57 Chevy, walk everywhere, use a longboard to get across Patricia's Green, take the F from the Mint to Van Ness, or roller blade your way down Laguna, we want a picture of how you get around. Here are the rules: 1) Photos must be taken this weekend only (Friday-Sunday) 2) Please do not harm or destroy any property to take a photo (or do anything illegal for that matter) You can email your pictures to jared [at] hayeswire {{dot}} com. All photos selected will be credited to the people who sent them. We'll select our favorites and share them next week so be creative and have fun!
