Looking for something fun to do with your sunny Sunday? Consider venturing west, where that other Haight will be hosting the 35th annual Haight Ashbury Street Fair.

From 11am to 6pm today, Haight Street will be closed between Masonic and Stanyan for a massive street party. Highlights include live music on three stages, vendors selling arts & crafts, food, and merchandise over a six-block stretch, and a family-friendly entertainment area for your little Haighters. Needless to say, your best bet for getting to/from the event is walking or biking, but failing that, you can try braving Muni. Just don't drive; with all the crowds and street closures, parking is going to be a nightmare. And if you can't make it to the fair, be sure to check out our Upper Haight sister blog Uppercasing tomorrow for the full recap. That is, assuming they survive today's fun...
