San Francisco Pride is one of the biggest celebrations of its kind around the world. We're pretty lucky that we live so close to everything that's going on this weekend.
Check out some of the big Pride events taking place right near Hayes Valley.
SF PRIDE CELEBRATION | Civic Center Plaza In the same spot that Harvey Milk addressed crowds years ago, the large Pride Celebration takes place this Saturday (12-6) and Sunday (11-6:30) at the Civic Center Plaza. Along with the parade, this is considered the largest GLBT gathering in the country. Funnel cake included. [City Hall] SF PRIDE PARADE | Market Street Corridor With a theme of "Global Equality" and Grand Marshalls Sarah Silverman, Dot Jones and Carmen Carrera, the SF Pride Parade is just out of reach of our hood but worth the walk. It starts on Sunday at 10:30am at Market & Beale and makes its way down Market where it ends near 8th Street. [Market Street]
