Open & Closed: Chez Maman Moves In, Cafe Trieste Shuts Downsomething french this way comes
We found out yesterday that a "change in management" at Terra Cafe & Bakery actually means an entirely new restaurant is taking over their prime location at Hayes & Gough.

According to Inside Scoop SF, the newest addition to the ever-changing restaurant scene is Chez Maman. Based out of Potrero Hill, this neighborhood French bistro is known for their burgers and salads. No word yet on the opening date, but when we walked by this weekend, they were busy sawing away and working on their new interior.
And in somewhat similar news (with the only "similar" part being it deals with food), Cafe Trieste (1667 Market) closed its doors on Monday at 2pm due to the sale of its building. According to EaterSF, each branch is separately owned so this closing should have no impact on the others. But still... strange to see it go so quickly. We wish we could have thrown a goodbye party.
Excited to see Chez Maman open or Cafe Trieste go? Let us know what you're thinking.
