Lower Haight Public Safety Meeting Wednesday
In response to a rash of gunpoint robberies, car break-ins, and home burglaries in the neighborhood recently, the Lower Haight Merchants and Neighbors Association will be hosting a community meeting Wednesday night to discuss public safety in the neighborhood.

The meeting will give residents a chance to voice concerns about crime in the Lower Haight, and share ideas for staying safe. Scheduled to attend are SFPD Northern Station captain Ann Mannix, Park Station captain Greg Corrales, D5 Supervisor Christina Olague, D8 Supervisor Scott Wiener, and other city officials. The meeting will take place from 7pm to 8:30pm at the Peacock Lounge (552 Haight Street). You can RSVP and spread the word over at the event's Facebook page. And if you're unable to make it, check back here Thursday for a recap.
