Beard Party at Madrone Tonight

Beard Party at Madrone Tonight
Do you like beards, and/or have a beard yourself? Then consider going to Madrone tonight, and harness your beard-love for a good cause.

It's the Build-A-Beard Ball, a party hosted by a pro-beard blog called... wait for it... Build-A-Beard. The blog has thrown Brooklyn beard balls before, but tonight marks their first Frisco face-fuzz fiesta. The parties serve two purposes: to support and celebrate the bearded community, but also to raise money for a local charity. Tonight's charity of choice is Brush Fire Painting, an organization that teaches the fundamentals of art to local kids. Your suggested $5 donation at the door goes straight to Brush Fire. There'll also be a band (Lord British) and DJ (Heathered Pearls) on hand providing tunes for the night's festivities. It all happens at Madrone, 500 Divisadero, from 7pm to 1am. And no, you don't have to sport a beard to attend (especially not you, ladies) -- just an untrimmed desire to have a good time for a good reason.
