Church Street Utility Boxes Get Floral Makeovers
A little unexpected beautification hit the neighborhood this week -- and the source is something of a mystery.

An artist painted flowers on a utility box on the northeast corner of Church and Duboce:
Across the street, another box got a similar paint job.

An MTA spokesperson we contacted seemed to have no information about the paintings, and we haven't yet received a response from DPW. It's possible these are just acts of uncommissioned public art, but we suspect otherwise. If anyone out there has more information, do let us know, won't you?
